Yellamabanda was adopted by Navionics Foundation in 2004.
It has quadrupled in size and is now considered to be a model school, which others work to emulate. The faculty has grown from 5 to 21.
From the original two room building plus grass tarp, there are now four two story buildings housing about 850 students from pre k through high school.
There is a fully functioning library, an after school tutoring program, and two kitchens to support the free lunch program.
Most exciting is that students are recognizing that good attendance and hard study means that education beyond high school is available through our scholarship program.
